[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I think that's the official Bitch vaccum by now.

Wait, I thought it was the pink Roomba.

What I especially love about our vacuum cleaner is that, thanks to Hec's nearly decade-long pennyhoarding habit and Coinstar, it cost us $26.

Hec has cleaned more today. And more, and more, and now he's out doing laundry. It is so unbelievably HAWT of him.

I think I might get her something from Southern Living at Home. They've been doing a lot of redecorating of their cute little house, and I think something nice for the house would be ok. What do you think?

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Pulling the couch out to vacuum (scary back there) turned up the remote, half of JZ's cashmere sweater set and Amphigorey.

Congratulations! Now you guys are totally up on the deal. Found the remote, found glasses, Gorey, cashmere, and Hec totally got good husband points and made us all envious of JZ (who's such a hawtie that it's easy to be envious of her anyway).

I have really struggled to be productive this weekend. I can't believe how ita and other migraine sufferers soldier on. I felt that way before. But 3 weeks of moderate sinus headaches are enough to do me in. They WILL NOT GO AWAY. I've taken a full 10 days of Augmentin and it hasn't gone away. I'm wondering if I was misdiagnosed but I have no idea what else it could be. With the exception of not being congested, the symptoms are very consistent with having a sinus infection.

I'm being a bad girl and have the TV on because I can't resist Jon Stewart. I had to skip a planned trip to a rare citrus orchard today and I'm skipping an Oscar party with friends tonight so I can hopefully work at the same time as watch.

Damn goddamned headaches.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Spidra, I know it's gross, but have you tried saline water, or a neti pot? Sucking salt water up your nose isn't the most delightful thing ever, but it's the only thing that stopped the persistent pain in my sinuses.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

vw-- maybe the baster plus a cool mix CD? Domestic plus funky.

Oooo...Robin, that's a good idea!

Actually, I could do that for my little brother too. He wants money towards an iPod...I could do both.

I don't have a neti pot, but I've done a little hydrating with regular water. I suppose I should buy some saline nasal spray. I need to see a doctor but I don't want to take the time off to do it due to the layoff. I need the money. I'll see what I can work out that will take the least time off of the clock.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I don't have a neti pot, but I've done a little hydrating with regular water.

You can add 1/2 a teaspoon of table salt to every 8 oz. of lukewarm water, and -- though it's messy -- sniff it into one nostril at a time from a cup or a bowl. I recommend doing it in the bathroom, while wearing clothes you don't mind getting wet (maybe a bathrobe?), due to the messiness factor.

Some of the water will go through your sinuses to the back of your throat, and you can just spit the water out. The rest will drain out of your nose, generally for the next hour or so, when you least expect it.

But it *really* does help.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I use a syringe. Minus needle, of course, as that'd just be gross. I kneel on a chair, lean forward so my head's more or less upside down, and squirt water into my sinuses from there.

Great for breaking the ice at parties!
