Inara: So. Would you like to lecture me on the wickedness of my ways? Book: I brought you some supper, but if you'd prefer a lecture, I've a few very catchy ones prepped. Sin and hellfire... one has lepers.

'Serenity'

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Trust my rage

Well, my Friday didn't suck, but it has been very lame. Joe has my computer for something and that does suck. Also, I really want to watch Buffy S2 today and I can't find my DVDs anywhere. I put them away in anticipation of showing that house and now I can't find them. The highlight of my day was a trip to the fire station to ensure the carseat is in correctly.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Holy crap, Erin, that sounds insane, and tequila-worthy indeed. Was there some incident that triggered the lockdown?

Mostly lurking...

Ok. I'm freaking out a little.

Emily should have been home two hours ago. I thought it was weird that I called before I left work and she didn't answer. But, I thought maybe she was in the bathroom or walking Toto or something.

There's no note. There's no voice mail. The mail wasn't picked up. So, she hasn't been home. We always tell each other when we have plans. I don't remember her telling me anything. I tried calling her cell and got her voice mail.

I'm scared. This isn't like her.

Apparently, all I needed to do was post my concern. She called. She's just leaving school. She didn't realize how late it had gotten. Silly girl. I've had too long of a week to have a scare like that!

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

So, it's not just the people in my office who are having a monday today, then?

My morning was unbelievable (it was actually much worse for the gf), but I don't have time to go into it right now, but it's a doozy of a story. I'll try and tell it later when I get a second.

Oh, it's totally like me. I am inconsiderate girl when it comes to remembering to call. Plus, drinking with the teachers. But all is well.

Also? Apparently there are enough BATSHIT CRAZY people in teaching that I don't need to worry so much about the fact that I don't know how to do a discovery-based quadratic equation lesson. So long as I'm not saving my urine in bottles in the closet, I'm doing okay.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I hope this means really great weekends for people. (the bad fridays)

We give VW grief for her perfectionist tendencies. Today I had to remind myself , that certain standards are 100% self imposed. I want the house to look really inviting when Matt comes home from a trip. And I've been fretting for the last few hours that things won't be like I want them to be.

It took me that long to acknowledge that :

these were my standards, not his.

Of course I can't do as much as I usually do - I've been sick - and I still have symptoms. It is usually after a full symptom free day that I feel completely like me

and finally due to the noisy gutter - I've been up since 5. It is nap time ( Matt won't be home 'til 9ish tonight)

Exactly! With low expectations, it's easy to excel!

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Want to hear Sean's story. Also want my delayed plane to show up. Need nap. Am conserving pronouns so I don't fall asleep on the terminal chair.

Erin, I'm on my Treo, but I'll check out those links when I can. Thanks!

Also, Nora, may I tag?

I hate the punitive ducks.
