Whatever happened to the still beating heart of a virgin? No one has any standards anymore.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Ah, shit, SA. I'm hoping like hell your stuff gets returned.

Today was the day of the weird all day first interview... I went in thinking it would be a good interview experience to have... and left actually wanting the job! That's pretty cool. I think it went well. I was very honest and candid about what I wanted and why I was looking to leave my current job (better balance between home and work life) so if they don't like it they can EAT IT and not hire me and all will be well.

But it sounded like their corporate culture supported that, so.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

{{SA}} That just sucks. I hope someone ends up turning your bag in.

Yay, Nora!!

So, the other night I was channel flipping and saw a very young Ben Browder in a Danielle Steele miniseries, Secrets. It also had Christopher Plummer, so I thought it might be kinda okay. It really really wasn't, but Ben Browder! He was so cute! And really, doesn't look much different now than he did then. His hair was just a bit longer in front.

Ah! Screencap:

SA, I hope that someone returns your stuff. I hope the school stepped up and did something about it. Did you make a police report?

Nora! Glad it went well!

Mostly lurking...

Yay, Nora! I'm glad it went well. When are you supposed to hear?

What is even happening?

Aw, Cashmere. Dawn is wise. It does get easier as time goes by, and you get enough sleep and everyone gets settled.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Ye Gads, SA! I very much hope your electrobabies are returned to you. How frustrating!

Yay on the interview, Nora.

ION, I would like a nap. In the alternative, a glass of wine and then a nap.
I am Sparky. But taller.

I just skipped all but the last 20 so if I missed, apologies.

I am completely exhausted and still not ready to move. Have sorted and shredded piles of paper that I can't believe fit in the house at all. Donated four carloads of things, so far. So so so tired. And the dust is making for some spectacular sneezing.

But my sister is coming over in a bit to hang out so I shall buy us Mexican food and wait for my fifth wind.

Newest idea: "Garage sale on Sunday. No items over FREE! Bits of furniture, electronics... Whatever I can't be assed to haul for donation." I probably won't post the "assed" word though.

Now to find out where to donate old cell phones for battered women...

How are you and the kids and the boat

HI Perkins!!! We're good. The boat? She leaked a little during the last rain storm but it was only the hatch above our bed (that's what DH gets for foolin' with it and messing up the seal). DH was outside in the pouring rain covering it with plastic but that worked and thankfully we have a dryer on board so dry sheets were had before bedtime YAY!

enough sleep and everyone gets settled.

This is the key I think. I think that's the worst part about having a new baby, be it a 1st kid or 5th, they don't sleep and they don't let you get enough sleep. Then you end up zombie-like for days on end (but without the craving for brraiiins)

Nora, that's cool about your interview. I like that they seemed to be good with the work/life balance. I wish that the company that I work for made you feel less like an indentured servant and more open to letting their employees have a life.

edited for spelling dur

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Nora, I hope something good comes of the interview.

Cashmere, good luck. I obviously have no advice, but I am thinking of you.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

SA, that's terrible. Have you thought about offering a reward?

I'm glad the long interview didn't end up feeling like a waste of time, Nora. May good things come of it.

Poor side-effects-ridden Teppy. Cipro was the thing that killed the Sinus Infection That Would Not Die, but in me in only caused some intestinal rebellion.

I had a meeting at a client who's 90 miles away. Good meeting. Tired Ginger.
