Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

I read this first as lap dance.

Well, that would be entertaining!

I'd tap dance

Also entertaining, but a strain on the knee in a different way.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Well, that would be entertaining!

If by entertaining you mean horrifying, maybe so; otherwise, NSM.

Jess, did I read (somewhere...) that you're coming to ComicCon in July? As in San Diego?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

vw, have you seen Skippy's List of 213 things he is not allowed to do in the Military? [link]

Yep! Coming in Friday morning and flying out Sunday night. Are you going to be there?

Yep! I even get to go for free this year! My RenFaire Guild gives me not one, but two connections! (I'll probably be working with the guy in distribution, 'cuz I'm afraid I'd go all FanGurl if I worked with the one who wrangles guests [though that may change depending on the guests...]. Lemme know if you miss out on any good swag while you're there, I might be able to hook you up).

Oh, and we should totally grab dinner or something too! (Sorry, got distracted by all the shiny for a sec there). I could probably even offer a couch to sleep on if you were desperate.

Remind me closer to the day and I'll give you my cell #. Yay!

Niiiiiiiiiice. I still have to check and see if I can get a free pass through my office -- DH gets in free because he's press, and I think I can pass for industry enough to get through the door.

We're on 2 hotel waiting lists (they booked way fewer rooms this year than last, it seems), but I'm not worried about space opening up. We should totally get dinner!

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

OH MY GOD, people.

of all the places I've been to in my short life, where do you think the most likely place my bag might be stolen is? Milan? London? New York?

Nope. Apparently it is Shannon Johnson Elementary School, Berea, Kentucky.

I went there to tutor for the first time today--I walked in with my bag, and one hour later it was nowhere to be found. No one remembers seeing it. But my car keys were in it, so I can't have left it in the car (which I know I didn't do anyway) and the likelihood is that someone picked it up. Whether intentionally, or mistaking it for their own, I do not now.

Today's bag contained my Dell computer, my PDA, my ipod, my cellphone, my irreplaceable notebook from Guatemala, and my water bottle. Luckily it also contained identification, though not a contact number.

Of all the places in all the world, it was an elementary school where my bag has been lifted. This must be some kind of karmic payback.
