I walk. I talk. I shop, I sneeze. I'm gonna be a fireman when the floods roll back. There's trees in the desert since you moved out. And I don't sleep on a bed of bones.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Punishingly Intricate

That must be frustrating, vw.

Not to compare you to him but...it reminds me of when my friends' dog Cowsalingo was on steroids and he ate EVERYTHING he could get into. Including a full bag of flour. And he was a black lab. Funny because he wasn't my dog to clean up.

Bwah! That's pretty funny...especially when you don't have to clean up after him.

So far today I've eaten oatmeal, a smoothie, and now I"m having a sandwhich. At least I'm being healthy, but still...

Now I want a bowl of chili. This is ridiculous.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Yesterday, I tried to get both babies to sleep at the same time. While Olivia was sleeping Owen and I laid down on the couch. I put in a Winnie the Pooh movie and hoped he'd drift off for a nap. About five minutes I started to doze off and he yelled, "WAKE UP!" I have no idea where he learned that.

I'll have to try to get a picture of the kids in their Mardi Gras beads today.

Pancakes sound good for supper.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Sign the day is not going to go well:

  • When, ten minutes into covering someone's first period class, what starts out as a little leak in the ceiling turns into a gushing flood of yellow water.

It is now cold and humid and I think enough mold was released to kill me ded.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I feel better today - but I still am going to stay home. I have a very suspicious cough.

ETA: I think this means my day is starting better than others. and really, I don't feel great.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I have a very suspicious cough.

Does it interrogate you other bodily functions, beth?

Back from the doctor, I have a 5 day course of anti-b's, hooray. (usually UTIs warrant 3 days of Bactrim, for me). Also, I swooped back in the office in time to make my last minute meeting, and do you know why? BECAUSE I AM AWESOME. Or something.

Also, I am hoping I don't peter out this afternoon because I really, really, really want to go out for a romantic dinner in the North End with Tom tonight. And, you know, enjoy it.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Gronk.

No Packzi to be found in my usual perambulations, but I'm sure I'll be able to console myself at one of the Italian bakeries.

My day is fine, if gronk-filled. I actually remember to make, and (this is the important bit) bring my coffee with me this morning.

Timelies, all. Nora, you most certainly are awsome. vw, I'm sorry you want to eat everything in sight, but very glad your breathing is back on track. beth, glad you're feeling better. {{{{}}}} to all who need 'em.

My cookbook did not arrive yesterday, and this is my morning at the grocery store -- very distressing.

Ooh, Sparky, that's exciting. How do you have eligibility to work in NZ?

NZ has a points system, much like Canada. There are bonus points for college and graduate degrees, double bonus points if you work in an identified industry, etc. I also have relatives with NZ citizenship, who live there and are gainfully employed. With an actual job offer, I'd be way off the points scale, an automatic admit to the place. Without the job offer, I have enough points to qualify, and then it's a lottery system.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Morning, All.

loads of ~ma to cass & Jen & MNGirl & lisah&family

feel-better-ma to beth and Nora and CashFamily

Kristin, I feel your pain. (As I listen to the water dripping down into the Recycle bin that been re-purposed into a bucket about 2 feet behind my chair).

Very cool, Sparky!

vw & crew, I got my cookbooks this weekend! So awesome! You guys did a great job!

ION: I ran out of Claritin, and I'm trying to stop using so many decongestants. So now ALL OF THE MOISTURE IN THE WORLD is congregating in my head - with occasional forays out my nose (so tempted to type "by dose" 'cause that's how I'd pronounce it just now). Uck.
