Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Bar stools are not my favorite thing. it is very hard to be graceful , esp. when getting on them.
thanks, Kristin.
ION, my half purple tub is much faded. Both DH and I took a bath last night and though there is a shadow - most of the dye seems to have come off the tub. The fizziness of Bath bombs?
and thank you , Raq. I am really pleased with this cut. this am I did the shake and place thing - and it looks pretty good. No washing.
If they ( hairdressers) can't make it work , they should tell you.
I can only imagine and I'm sorry it happened at all but especially sorry it happened when it did. {{sj}} Do I need to remind Teacup Guy that he's under strict instructions not to let anything bad or remotely humiliating happen to you when you're in his care? Hmph! (Not that you can't take care of yourself. You can and do, quite well.)
He was mad that I didn't ask him to help me down. I was trying to be all independent. Stupid of me.
Oh, and for the record I was not drunk or tipsy. I had had 2 sips of white wine. I am a light weight, but not that much of a light weight.
Owie! But I have barstool dismount issues at 5'9", and not drunk...I'm sure this will become one of those cute stories that you wish wouldn't get trotted out at the holidays every year.
Mattress on the floor sounds doable. In fact, maybe I'll put a mattress on the floor next to the crib now, since Mal is avidly trying to figure out how to escape. He's learned to jump, have I mentioned? He needs to brace his hands, but then he bounces and bounces, higher each time. Sometimes he bounces and reaches with one hand (extra fun near the stove).
I am glad to hear I am in good company. I am always a klutz, but I just really didn't want to embarras myself last night.
Raq, good luck with the crib/bed situation and Mal in general. It sounds like he is quite the handful.
so I have a cold. it looks like Dh might have one too. ( Just before he travels again) so I am makeing chicken soup.
When I was in Year 7, the art classroom at school had stools. I was pretty short, and I had to climb up onto my stool. Only that was too dull, so I got into the habit of jumping up onto it. Naturally, one day the guy behind me decided it'd be hysterically funny to move it out of the way. Actually, I have to admit his comedic instincts were on the mark there, or so I thought when I found myself sitting on his feet.
I can relate to embarrassing things done yesterday.
Andi and I went out on a multi-stop sojourn yesterday morning. As we were leaving the second store, Andi noticed I had a pair of underwear making their way out of my pants leg. I'm assuming the ace bandage I keep on my calf kept me from feeling it inching down.
So much for grabbing a pair of jeans out of the laundry and hitting the road.
ETA: Note to self: Always check pants for other clothes deposited by dryer.
I like this site for dealing with a cold

a lot of it is commonsense, but there are a few thigns that I am sort happy to see there- stuff like takeing a walk and a hot toddy. - Things I've done before, but didn't know why they helped.
The most intersting thing is the positive attitude - beliveing that you will heal. Hard thing to do when you have a cold.
