I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

No?

Sorry, I can't hear you over the *raging* subtext between Sayid and Sawyer.

Up with the sun

I really don't see anything "vibey" about the arguing. My only reaction is they get along better than my brother and I do.

Heh, me too.

They are both very, very pretty, and actually the one Lost fic I've read was with them. (It was on my LJ friends' list and I likied the writer. I didn't go looking for it, because ew.) But it's not a pairing I would be comfortable writing.

Maybe it makes sense to people who don't have opposite-sex siblings, or have secret crushes on the ones they do have.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I was one of those who did see the vibey stuff between River and Simon. Shannon and Boone? NSM.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

River and Simon I could kinda see. I still shipped Simon and Kaylee, 'though.

In Smallville fic, I was wondering if anyone remembered a short, kinda sweet story titled something like "What Kind of Pie" or "Some Kind of Pie" or "If You Were a Pie". It's about Clark trying to come out as an alien to Lex, using pie as a metaphore, and Lex misunderstands. I read it a couple of years ago, I think. Does anyone remember the author? I'm trying to find it again, but with multiple options on the title name and a memfault on the author's name, I'm having trouble doing so.

Anyone? Anyone? Sara Lee?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

This is an interesting Lost/BtVS crossover. I'm not crazy about the pairing, but the basic concept is fun.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Calli, is it perhaps Cake and Pie?

Anne, you're right, the pairing so doesn't work for me. Possibly because I think Boone is an idiot, and not actually all that attractive.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

If the author had chosen to pair Xander with Charlie (I could see Xander subconsciously comparing him to Oz, which would add a nice, twisted dynamic to the whole thing), I would have liked the story so much better.

Oooh, I can't check right now, PMM, (semi-porny fanfic and my work computer are non-mixy things) but the title and url look really familiar.

Thanks! I'll check it out tonight.

Anne!

Thank you. That was a nice pick-me-up.
