And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Seven Ways John Sheppard Goes Home. Other than that, there's basically a lot of shipfic--either McKay/Sheppard or Weir/Sheppard, is my understanding, though because of the skew of my flist I mostly see the former.

...which I should probably point you to, huh? The het I can't help you with. Atlantis slash is being archived at Area 52; also try thegrrrl, who I know has been writing McKay/Sheppard and who's written some good Jack/Daniel. (I don't know if you read slash, though.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Any good McKay/Sheppard?

Wow. I am delayed reaction girl today.

Thankyou one-and-all.

My reading tends to skew towards slash too, but I'm not averse to a bit of het. Like I said, I'm easy.

I think I may have to be sold on McKay/Sheppard.

There's also an Atlantis Drabble community, [link] , that has some good stuff on it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

A well-laid kiss is a Botticeli painting, lustful and breathtaking, a signature and a thumbprint and Michael was a master in the art of kissing Nikita.

I'm really starting to get an inferiority complex.

I don't think that's necessary. I mean, if he's really a master at kissing Nikita, then you have to take into account the years of labor and toil he put into it. First there's the Nikita-kissing apprenticeship, during which he basically brought breath fresheners and lip balm to the master Nikita-kissers, and then the journeyman phase, during which he kissed Nikita on his own but technically under the supervision of master Nikita-kissers. Then the master project, for which he had to kiss Nikita particularly skillfully all on his own, before he was welcomed into the ranks.

Plus, of course, the painful knowning process.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Hm. I looked at many Botticelli paintings when I was in Italy, but I never made the connection between Botticelli and a quality kiss. Of course, when I think Botticelli, my brain goes to the madonna and cherubim place, and I like my thoughts to be a little more unholy than that whilst kissing. In short, a good kiss has never made me think of La Primavera (although a bad one could possibly make me think about pasta primavera), and I can only conclude that I Must Be Doing It Wrong.

And hallelujah for that.

Michael’s voice set goose-bumps on Nikita’s skin like if he was there warming the cockles of her imagination with his gifted insights.
