No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Theo, one of the things I've considered doing for a while is posting the sequence of beta notes on a story. For a long time I kept the beta notes I got on one of my toughest X-Files stories (The Mill) in order to use it for that. Unfortunately, I think I lost them because I was changing email addresses & running out of space. Stupid me.

The BI notes are... long. (Fi does verbose beta: the beta notes on Fimbulwinter alone were about 75K.) I'll think about it.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Yeah, that's actually one of the things I find most interesting about that DVD commentary meme when it goes around.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Fandom wank got deleted? That sounds...odd, knowing Bonnie and Robin.

Thrive to spite them

It wasn't deleted this morning when I looked at but there was some big long post that I didn't read. Guess I should have.

But now there's no more fandomwank.

Yeah, I'm sorely tempted to do dvd commentary on BI, except it seems kind of presumptuous, since I only posted the story two weeks ago. Who knows whether anyone would be interested?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

You may indeed want to wait on that, or just make notes on it now while it's fresh... time will give you more perspective on it. But then I go through an almost predictable cycle of "love it!" "hate it" "it's OK" "it's the worst crap EVAH written" "ah, not too bad" about my own stories, regardless of how they get received.

Bonnie and Robin didn't delete it. It was an inside job.

Askye, someone c&p'ed it into my journal, if you wanted to see it.

I'm upset, but I have to say, best wanky flameout evah!

There was a mod who deleted it without the knowledge of...everyone?

This is bizarre.

I like fandom wank, it's the only way I can keep up with kerfuffles.

Also, I was reading through fanfic_hate and in the replies to the first comment about who they hate (Ducks) someone invokes Snacky's law.
