It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Well, I'm gonna be bringing my laptop, which has got the DVD player, so if I wanted to pimp my shows to people I probably could.

Err, on the other hand, I'm not packing 6 seasons of Stargate SG-1 DVD sets, 'cause you know, not entirely crazy.

Hmm. Maybe a couple?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

That sounds really fun. I'm jealous. Um, where and when is it?

It's in Chicago, the weekend of August 13-15. (Vividcon.) Come! Come come. And bring Theo with you. And make askye have enough money to come, though I realize that's going to be kind of tricky.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'll speak for shrift and say that there's no use trying to pimp Stargate to her.

Plus, I'll be busy pimping West Wing.

Hey, isn't that what you said until, like, a few months ago? *g*

OK, OK, I'll behave. I'll probably bring my Firefly DVDs, just because. Debating bringing H:LotS--season 5 may be out by then.

Packing for that trip is gonna be tricky.

Hey, isn't that what you said until, like, a few months ago?

If anything could have hooked me, it would have been all the most excellent Stargate: SG-1 vids I have seen at Escapade and VividCon.

No joy.

But if you bring your laptop, I'll bring my vids on DVD -- which I think are Escapade 2003, VividCon 2003, and the WOAD Society 3-disc set.

Oh, the Woad society set! SO marvelous. I need to watch them again and send feedback, and give them back to Laura. But they're so great!

This year I'm totally getting the Vividcon dvds.

I believe vampires are the world's greatest golfers

Had to come and share this here...

A writer acquaintance of mine posted on her LJ that while friendsfriendsing she encountered a new peril of the interbunny: RPS starring her boss. In a threesome.

There was much joshing about how she can never get drunk at the office Christmas party, lest she reveal to her boss the hot porn of him on the net.

Thrive to spite them

I was following a weblog, slackivist (it's mostly political commentary) but there's also a dissection of the Left Behind book...almost a page by page dissection of how horrid it really is.

The guy writing the blog was introduced to fanfiction by someone and the term Mary Sue (which he immediately applied to the main characters). He also said that he found Left Behind fanfiction.

At the time I was kind of surprised but I really shouldn't have been.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

He also said that he found Left Behind fanfiction.

It's probably WAY better written than the actual books. And maybe the characters get to swear and get laid.

It would have a hard slog being worse.
