I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I could ask for Weiss-fic. Or Sandman. Or I-Man.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Okay, this story breaks any number of rules that would make me shy away from it like Anya from Clovis on a rampage.

It opens with a major character death. It is in progress. It focuses more on original characters than the original characters. It is only posted on ff.net as far as I can tell.

Still, this is one of the better CSI fics out there. The case is interesting, as are all of the dirty little secrets that are unearthed during the investigation. The original characters are actually quite good and would be believable as replacement characters on the regular show.

I'll be interested to hear if people think I am on crack for reccing this. Given how discerning this crowd can be, I always feel more than a little self-conscious when recommending fics.

I'm going to have to sign up for this damn yuletide thing, and you know why? Because of the chance that Basingstoke or shalott or Speranza or Pares might write one of my beloved and under-represented pairings.

What pairings are those, Dana? I love hearing what peoples' various OTPs (which can sometimes stand for One Twisted Pairing) might be.

I'm not sure. I have to pick. shrift and I were talking about Space: Above and Beyond last night, and our beloved Cooper Hawkes. Anything Sandman. There was a short-lived TV series last season called MDs with William Fichtner and John Hannah, and I'd ask for MDs slash if I thought anyone else had watched it.

Psst. I asked for some Cooper already, if that'll help you narrow it down.

Heh. Good. Because I didn't put him down. I didn't go way out there with my choices -- Gilmore Girls, CSI, and I think I've forgotten the other two already.

The crack_van overview of the X-Men Movieverse is pretty damn funny.
