I did that! Victor told me to never, ever, ever do that again.
See, the problem with you writing the bad and wrong things is that you write so well you make us LIKE it.

I love you very, very much Plei. But I stand by it. (:

Which is exactly why she must only use her powers for good. Mostly.
I've got my head into this Vecchio story. And I'm not that good with a Vecchio voice. It was just supposed to be this quick thing for the weekly ds Flashfiction, but I kept writing and it turned on me. I have to watch more of S2 episodes that I have and in more detail to get his personality.
I like my idea and I like some of my phrases but I'm not happy with the way I'm telling the story.
I need to get some information on Las Vegas and at least a little bit better idea of what the guy Vecchio is pretending to be might do. Anyone have any ideas where I could find some information?
Would Casino, the movie, be useful for getting inspiration? Also Donnie Brasco as well. This is about the extent of my own knowledge in these areas. :-) Remember that DS takes place in Magic Realism land, where half the crime in Chicago is mob-related, all Canadians are polite, et cetera et cetera.
My knowledge of Las Vegas is currently limited to CSI and 2 crappy Vegas movies CKR was in and Casino and Ocean's 11.
All my mob knowledge comes from bits and pieces gleaned from movies not featuring mobs, Casino, and Due South. I'm not really into mobster movies so I haven't really watched any.
I'll rent Donnie Brasco. I started writing about Vecchio and I ended up going into a different direction and I really like this idea and I want to do it justice.
"Brasco" is a good choice, cause the mobster teaches the agent how to act mobster, essentially.I've seen tons of those movies and 2 "Due Souths" You say tomato...
Brasco sounds like what I need to watch, I'll see if Blockbuster has it tomorrow and use that as my reward after getting some of my school work done.
Because the fic, she is a virus.
You must be speaking of the virus that causes you to feel momentarily possessed by someone else that desperately needs you to jot down something they have been dying to say.
Cause that's how it felt.
Not in a dramatic way. Just in a normal
Yep, that's the way of it. And I just finished "Career Change," and now I'm in withdrawal. Hell, I've still got to go through and clean up the section breaks, but it hurts knowing this big thing I've spent a couple of years on is done. Thank God I've got the sequel to finish plotting. And then, the writing.
Years! Wow!I get edgy spending more than a few months. It was definitely worth it...

That's the splurt. I miss the splurt. Treasure it, my dear, for it comes more and more infrequently.
