Joyce: And what did you do tonight? Dawn: Irritated Giles. I'm beginning to get why Buffy likes it so much.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

It's all in the pirategasm community, or lots of it.

Ooooh, thanks! <Scurries off to LJ>

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Shrift had a good start, which she'd best better finish.

Shrift probably will. Yesterday was meltdown day. Had hives from some strange new food allergy. Was v. bad all around.

Will definitely be including the disclaimer, in very large font, "Liberties, both historical and etymological, have been taken for the sake of gay pirate love."

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Why do I always get the crazies for archive requests? I mean, yay, people like my stuff enough to archive, but still, whackjobs.

Time to dip your toes in other fandoms, perhaps?

Thing is, I don't watch anything else on TV. X-Files repeats, Buffy-verse, and the occasional "Trading Spaces" where I hope someone beats Hildy to death with a paint roller. It's enough to make me pay extra so I can get BBC America and watch "Changing Rooms" and the flaming designer with the chintz suit.

Thanks for all the fish.

Connie, I never really watched DueSouth and yet found myself sucked deep into the fanfic. I blame Dana for being the gatekeeper to fandom-crack, and Speranza for being so fucking brilliant.

Hmm . . . cute and funny manly men being witty while they slowly acknowledge a previously verboten attraction?

Oh, dear.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

You are a bad, bad girl, Elena.

I've gone from being annoyed at the most recent challenge I entered, to wanting to enter one with a better caliber of writer. I'd like to get feedback, for one; and I'd like it to be from writers who actually know how to write instead of t cringe ....

"I love you Chloe Sullivan."

"I love you too, Lana Lang," Chloe replied and the two women kissed. As the kiss deepened, Chloe knew that she finally got something she loved.

Where does one go to find said challenges? And, how much am I going to regret asking this question?

blinking perkily Free? Really? Why, what could be the possible harm in reading just one? I mean, it's not like I'd be forced to read another.

Thrive to spite them

Is that actually from a story?
