Fan Fiction: Writers, Readers, and Enablers
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.
Oh...my...
Humanity never ceases to amaze me with the depths of its idiocy.
I want to read this one:
Stupid melodramatic story. But I liked it like 5 minutes ago when I wrote it. So.
I love shrift's response.
I think I've read all the good fic out there, and I am rather bummed. So I'm digging through all my links to see if there's anything I've missed. (So far, not really).
But I remember reading a fic invovling Angel, Wes, Cordelia, and eventually Gunn (don't know about Fred), and Gunn remembering warnings he'd ignored about crazy white people. Silly and amusing, but I can't find it. Help?

Doubt it. There's more good fic every day. The slashficathon produced some goodies, and Te's Rec's Blog is the place to start for All That's Fit To Read.

Time to dip your toes in other fandoms, perhaps?

I've been trying to find some good C.S.I. fic, but there's an odd mix of rabid 'shippiness (some of the Sara/Grissom people make the K*****s look like the McLaughlin Group by comparison) and bizarre slash pairings. Not to mention that the few rec sites that I have found don't seem to be horribly picky about quality.
Augh. The slash in CSI makes even me shudder.

Greg is eminently slashable, mainly because he flirts with anything that breathes.
Grissom should not be slashed. Ever.
What I'd like to find are some well-written fics that have interesting cases and character studies and that aren't all about getting the characters into the sack.
