Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Man, if I was running/writing Gumball fic (and btw, Cannonball was a takeoff on the original Gumbally Rally flick with Michael Sarrazin and Raul Julia) as a Buffy/Angel crossover? Wes would be behind the wheel of Emma Peel's vintage Lotus Elan, and Angel would be tooling a 1970's Lamborghini Miura. Giles, hmmmmmm. Maybe an old XKE.

And I'd be in the classic Jag Series I. Because, well, author's privilege.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I got rec'ed by them for To Unburden, which was kind of cool. My first at PolyRecs.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I've brought up the Wyndham/Wyndam thing with beta-ees, and I could swear I was told the spelling had gone back and forth even in early scripts.

It's def. Wyndam in all the ones I've seen, but as they couldn't decide on how to spell Jonathan, I wouldn't be shocked were that the case.

I love recs updates. I just wallowed in some niiiiiiiice Gunn/Wes.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Congrats, SA!!

I just spent a few minutes at work browsing through the recs. Those LJ challenges have been spawning some really good fics.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Dana and Shrift are purveyers of the good crack.

Fay, if you're here, that Grima fic is lovely.

Thanks, Anne.

I'm especially excited about the due South flashfiction--some fantastic work is coming from there.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You're welcome, guys.

And I hope you know that this isn't any kind of contest. I can't speak for shrift, but I'm alarmingly capricious, and sometimes my taste doesn't even make sense to me. And sometimes it takes me a while to get around to things, like The Seven-Year Itch, which has been out a while.

I also don't tend to rec stuff I've beta'd, but I didn't feel like I'd had that heavy a hand on To Unburden.

So, yeah. There's today's glimpse into my psyche. I don't want anyone to feel left out. ('net connection's been down all day! I've been in serious withdrawal.)

No, not a contest or anything. Just something of note.

Bill, my friend, strange deeds are afoot at the Circle K.

Yeah, if I thought it was a popularity contest I'd've done a lot more sucking up! ;)

(It's actually very cool to see my first SV story and the one I wrote this week in the same list, and I'm glad people are still finding 7YI, because I, myself, love it to bits. Entirely unobjectively!)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I could point out that sucking up in the form of writing my favorite pairings might get some rewards.

But that would be unethical.

Mostly, I just want everyone to write what I want to read, so get right on that.
