No, me either. But so nice to read an article that's not winking at its readers even as it pretends to treat the subject seriously.
Fan Fiction: Writers, Readers, and Enablers
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.
Oh, yeah. I feel like I should send her feedback.
Though, you know, being in Seattle, I'm scared of accidentally outing myself.
Yeah, "alt" was weird. I think I've heard it exactly one other time, and that was in one of those offensively inaccurate fic articles that pop up from time to time.
I've never heard it either. It's either really specific to some fandom I don't play in, or it's old. I bet she pulled it from a resource site that isn't updated much any more.
(Dana, insent.)
Got it, thanks.
Where do we see Wes's last name written in canon? I probably would have put the "h" in there... (hangs head in shame)
Google gives a split result, though I guess IMDB counts more than a straight site count (Yeah, I typed this up for my own amusement):
Wyndham-Pryce, 3,440 hits
Wyndam-Pryce, 2,840 hits (Note: this is the IMDB spelling)
Wyndham-Price, 2,310 hits
Wyndam-Price, 1,060 hits
Windham-Price, 294 hits
Windham-Pryce, 233 hits
Windam-Price, 64 hits
Windam-Pryce, 19 hits
And the misspelling that makes me hiss is Jonothon/Jonathon/Jonothan. It's a common name, spell it right!

Scripts are to blame for that one, IIRC. They had a couple different spellings.
It's Wyndam-Pryce in the shooting scripts. So, I accept that as the canon spelling.
Well, we could always do "they are from another branch of the family. The family that spells the name with an H. We do not speak of them."
Want Matrix/Buffyverse crossover fic NOW.
Damn it.
