Half a terrabyte. Half a terrabyte. I'll have to ask Nic and I don't want.
WAAAAAAH! There must be search function on this appliance from hell somewhere, surely? I know there is. We can put a man on the moon, and a baboon heart into a baby, I can find AOL Messenger software on T3. Right?
I told you I was a virgin at this. Gah.
When in doubt, I click on the 'start' button on the left, click 'search', then 'for files or folders'. You can put in "AIM messenger" or something and see what turns up.
deb, on Windows, look for "Search" under the Start menu. It can take a while to search a big system, which is why I generally go with the "start the download again and see where it wants to go" suggestion.
Consuela! GENUIS!
I found it, I found it, I found it! (doing Snoopy dance and confusing cats)
It was in the My Downloads file. AND, I now know how to search this box from hell.
You all utterly rock my world, in a good way. Champagne and cookies for everyone! Matzoh brei for those who prefer!
Deb, it's truly easy to find AOL IM, because it wants to be found. The filename is probably AOL##.exe, where ## is whatever version or year is the latest version. This file is a self-extracting ZIP, and installs itself when you double-click on it, so you're 99% of the way there when you find the file.
On a PC, the Start button in the bottom left corner will give you a menu, of which one option is Search... for Files or Folders. If you've got downloading habits, you can narrow which folders to search in, if that will make the search faster for you.
d) All of the above
This one. Final answer.
Did you consider head-crushing?
