Joyce: And what did you do tonight? Dawn: Irritated Giles. I'm beginning to get why Buffy likes it so much.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I made the mistake of answering my AIM one morning.

Ah, well. It's not as though you don't have time. And projects are good.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Just nipping in to see if Deb's around?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Buffynight for Deb, Fay. Last I heard she was cooking.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Ah, well. It's not as though you don't have time. And projects are good.

(Looks around at house still in need of cleaning and yard that will have to wait one more day)

(Laughs hysterically)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dana, have you seen this mary sue archive? It made me think of Shanola's stuff.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, dear lord. I'll have to send that to her.

Up with the sun

I posted a request for fics to BBF this morning, referring to the "Faith/Dawn interaction last night." (No plot details, just that.) I just now remembered how strict their spoiler policies are, and that not everyone in the world has known Faith was coming back for the last 7 months, let alone seen "Dirty Girls."

Am I going to get spanked? Should I apologize preemptively?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Might be a good idea to post a warning, mentioning that there are season 7 spoilers in your previous post.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Big old yelp for HELP over here, please please?

just got off the phone with Roz; she's cooking, I'm baking, am I going to be around on AIM in a cople of hours time?

Me: well, love to, darlin', but I'm not sure what it is.

roz: time to crack that prticular virginity.

So, query: what's AIM and how do I go about being there?

(Be gentle. I'm a virgin. Roz said so....)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Deb, AIM is AOL Instant Messenger, which is real-time talking online. Like what I'm doing at work right now AIFG.

You don't need to be an AOL customer, but you do need to get yourself a (free) AIM account and a piece of software. You can sign up at [link] and get their software (there are better clients out there, but you might as well go simple at first).

Once you're signed in, you can build a list of your friends (I'm sure we'll all mob you with our IDs once you're ready) and type away at them.

That's about as simple as I can make it, but to make up for any confusion I'm glad to answer any questions as you get set up.
