So, having said that, is the remix author likely to catch that post and be offended by it?

It's kinda funny you should ask that. Because after I was done whining, I thought that maybe I shouldn't have bitched about it so much, so publicly. But oh well. I don't think it's likely she would see it unless someone pointed her here and, if that happened, I think I'm more the one for her to be upset with rather than you.

are you considered a BNF in popslash?

Dude, I have no idea. I think I'm rather well-known in some circles [JC/Justin fans, for example, where they interviewed me for the writers site] and a lot of people on LJ know me. But I still feel like a new kid on the block. After all, I've only been writing in popslash for 18 months. Then again, I get a lot of hits and I get a lot of feedback. Though don't BNFs complain that they never get feedback? It's all so confusing.

I'm not entirely sure how one determines if they're a BNF anyway. Like, other people told me I was at the Bronze. But beyond the Bronze? No one knows who the hell I am. So I don't really feel like one in the general online Buffy community either.

I am totally a BNF in LunaSync slash circles though. Then again, there's only three of us in the circle. So we're all BNFs. *snerk*

I agree. But it wasn't my story.

In fact, I'd like to link to it in my blog/LJ. Lizard, could you possibly change the references from "Dana" to "Nestra"?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Ha! Watch while I slot another Buffista name with a blog username. Go me! t /satisfied

(Look, I'm bad at that kind of thing. Now if I can just remember the equivalence for more than a day and a half...)

Sure. (I had had that thought, too, but didn't want to presume.)

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Oh, Rebecca, how completely lovely.

Looky! Dana wrote a lovely, and Rebecca made it sing!

Okay, do they not understand that us multi-fandom geeks are going to get overbooked at some point?
