No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Has anyone written a backstory on Spike vamping Holden? If so I would really like to read it.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Man... I didn't know that plagiarism was a big problem in the HP fandom.

I'm not sure it is, honestly. It's more that it's happened a couple of times, and some people blow it out of proportion. Although the fact that a large part of the fandom rallied around Cassandra Claire didn't help their reputation any.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

I would so become an HP fan posting to LiveJournal for that "It's spelled PLAGIARISM!" icon...

Someone hacked the site Shippers United to put up an anti-war message.

Gah! That must be quite a blow for Twilite (the archive owner). I had some of my stories there, and I used to do HTMLing and permission getting in the early days (like a few months ago). Gah.

I think they're still in the process of figuring out what's recoverable.

Yeah-- that'll be quite a process, I guess. With luck, it'll just be the front page that's been replaced.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I think someone in Twi's thread about it on the LJ said he was able to get to the message banks without a problem, that everything behind the page seems to still be there.

So, while we're up and discussing War, Fandom, and Wank...

sj mentioned an urge to read/find some Spike-turns-Holden. I KNOW I've read that somewhere... anyone able to Nilly us a link?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Uhm. Te had one, I think. A short one, well-written ('cause, it's Te) but not so much with the backstory on Holden. Lemme see.
