Since I'm a writer by profession, I can't imagine what damage I can do to myself; if it sucks, then yes, I can dmage myself professionally. But since I don't publicly make available anything I wouldn't want the world to read, no matter the genre or source, I may as well keep it all under my own wing.

Most of the time in popslash, you get recced without being told. You just happen upon it. I did once get a request for my It's a Wonderful Lance fic to be archived on a Freddie Mercury tribute site. I was quite surprised and rather amused. Also, you know, flattered.

It really made me unhappy just reading it. (Did the finger-on-the-spacebar thing for the entire second half.) At least the eventual pairing was Gunn/Wes and not Angel/Wes-- because that would have made me want to throw things. 'Cause, you know, wow.
