I got an author I'd never read before! And all her fic was interesting. But most of it was interesting in a way I couldn't seem to spin. But this one has a chance to not completely suck.

I think.

Thanks for all the fish.

I'll be interested to read both the original and your spin. What fandom, if you don't mind me asking?

popslash.

But it's not shiny happy popslash either! It's conflicted angsty popslash! Which, you know, fun.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dude, I still haven't started mine.

I am sooo intimidated by the notion of remixing this person's stuff. Argh! And yet, at the same time, hella curious to see what happens to mine.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

It's conflicted angsty popslash!

Heh. This strikes me as funny because I was reading a boyband AU the other day. A *boyband* au.

Secret message to bitterchick: are you Kristen?

Oh I know. I want to know who got me and what story they picked and what did they do to it. I hope I like it.

bitterchick - Mar 09, 2003 5:36:04 pm PST #4065 of 10000

ahahahahaha I have two, count 'em TWO, boyband AUs. Only one is posted. I need to finish that one. The other one is a conflicted angsty boyband AU. Which I'm not posting until it's done.

And to answer your question: yes.

Elena - Mar 09, 2003 5:45:06 pm PST #4066 of 10000
Thanks for all the fish.

I'm a little nervous.

a) will the story I write be worse than the original?

b) will my story that gets rewritten be better than the original?

c) will it be worse?

And I don't know if b or c would bother me more. (I think I can say that a didn't happen.

bitterchick - Mar 09, 2003 5:49:53 pm PST #4067 of 10000

B and C are tricky. I don't know which would be worse. I know that they can't change the pairings so that gives me some relief. But I dunno. I'm kind of nervous about the whole shebang.

As for A, well, since I haven't written it yet, I have no idea. But I think that the idea I came up will compliment the original nicely and that's kind of what I was going for.
