We have to see the chimp playing hockey! That's hilarious! The ice is so slippery, and, and monkeys are all irrational. We have to see this!

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Neato. Interesting casefile/good character studies are my fave kinds of fic. Thanks!

Ooh. Fic bunny.

Go Holli Go Holli Go.

stayed up too late last night re-reading WOAT

Aw, you're so nice. Thanks loads, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I read Golden Apples by BetanSurvey last night. It's an AU adventure which spins off from Fractures. Very science-fictiony, and with some truly original settings and creative characters. But the characterizations felt a little... easy? maybe? Given the situation at that point in the show, everyone's just a little too cheerful. And John's voice was off, for me. OTOH maybe I've just read too much Maayan. *g*

Still, I recommend it -- it's a big complicated romp with lots of Chiana and Jool and John and Aeryn.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Thanks, Am-Chau. The story is the first one on the list, Vonnie. It's just called "Ghost."

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I haven't sought out any Sam/Frodo

PolyRecs.

Yeah - but I didn't really think I wanted to read Sam/Frodo. But damn, I just loved that story, so....

Bugger. Another fandom.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Lazy me doesn't want to look back for who said "yes" the first time, but I'm putting the final touches on Latitude in preparation for a BtVS WZ application, and need to know who I can add to the beta readers list.

All I need, and I can be emailed with the details, is name, email contact, lead time, and what you will/won't beta.

Anyaluvsya, anya4now@mailbox.com, need a week, won't read angst or anything with the letter 'q'.

For example.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Do I post a link, if I want to post a story?

Because this one's nearly 70k in length and wouldn't that be insanely long to post?

Can someone advise the poor techno-dweeb?

No, you don't want to post here -- except for the very short, we don't post fic on the board.

Posting a story can be done in a number of ways. You can post to a mailing list, to an archive, or to both, like with the BFA.

If you posted to BFA, for instance, you would upload a text file. The software would convert it to HTML and give you the link for the story. It would also cut the story into 400-line parts and mail these parts in order out over the BFA-L list.

Does that make sense?

Oh, and by "text" file, I mean a .txt file.

And by 70K, do you mean 70,000 words? or a text file that's 70 kilobytes? Because the first is much bigger than the second. *g*
