Oh, yeah. I do that I the time. I was reading a story this evening, and it didn't suck, but I thought the characterization was way the fuck off, which made me think about the characterization I'd do... Storywriting, I believe, often works like that.
Just as a side-note: some parts of Star Wars fandom are great feedbackers. I put out a tiny Luke/Han story on a few lists yesterday, and I've already had more feedback within twenty-four hours than I've ever had for a single Buffyverse fic, no matter where I put it. Admittidly, that's like five e-mails, but still.
I'm happy.

Go, read. Have your guts ripped out!

Just an FYI.
That's nice to know, Steph! It's a fun series, and I'd specifically like to add for those who don't like sports (and I'm certainly in the forefront of those), that no sports knowledge is needed to enjoy the goings on.
A project like the Buffista Map, only larger-scale, and messier.
t edit For LotR rpf slashers, I neglect to mention. But still an interesting idea. I wonder if a (text-based) Slashers Map or Ficcers Map would be a viable project?
