Others are more explicit and much too bawdy to be printed here.
But you enjoyed looking at them, didn't you? And that's the kind of thing that will make people go looking for them...
And seriously: most kids will either not look, or when they don't understand it, they'll go somewhere else. And the writer clearly simply ignored ff.n.
THE ANGSTY ROMANCE
CHARACTER: This is so wrong.
OTHER CHARACTER: Yet this is so right.
CHARACTER: I love you yet I hate you.
OTHER CHARACTER: Shut up, bitch, and kiss me.
CHARACTER: Fuck you!
OTHER CHARACTER: Hey, don't mind if I do.
CHARACTER: Noooo!
(Someone dies or kills self.)
Bwahahahaha!
I guess my impression of the Scotsman is warped because I know Alastair Dunnett was its editor for many years and I can't conceive of Lady D's husband running a yellow newspaper.
Not a scandal rag, but very conservative and full of the sort of Scottish kitsch that Tom Leonard once summed up as "the Snottery Weans Competition." I could be misremembering which paper this was, but that's what I think of.
I feel silly making this request, but does anyone know of any good Buffy/C.S.I. crossovers?
I haven't seen any, Anne. Let me do a sweep.
Found Soft Science. No idea how good it is.
Merci beaucoup, Dana! I'll let y'all know if it's any good.
CHARACTER: ... but why would we celebrate Christmas? We're so obviously not Christian.
OTHER CHARACTER: And I've not really the type to be this happy.
YET ANOTHER CHARACTER: It doesn't snow in this town!
AUTHOR: Shut up and string tinsel. My fic.
I wish I could be that bossy with them. Also, snerk.
Oh-- an explanation for the practice of Adjective!Character. Towards the bottom. References the ways when email addresses had bangs in them.
Also, can I just say, it drives me personally bugfuck when people put it behind just any adjective modifying any word? If your template is Vamp!Willow, Pissy!Buffy, Puffy!Xander, LeatherPants!Angel, x!y, then x specifically refers to a kind of y, or state of being for y. Thus, Competent!Spike works. Willow!girlfriend, as someone on the Buffy thread the other day said was a possibility for Kennedy, does
not! If anything, it makes it sound as though there were a kind of creature called a girlfriend, and this is when Willow is one. I mean, I could be crazy and be seeing a really narrow definition from the context of where I learned it, but it's only recently that I've been seeing these false!bangs and they're driving me crazy. I had to really reason myself around to accepting "wee!lizard" by saying, well, it's not as though she's a form of me!-- well, if you think of Lizardness as being a sort of defined entity, and I as Rebecca!Lizard, and my mother as Mother!Lizard, as though we were all facets of the same being, then my sister could be Wee!Lizard. Although still sort of diminishing, 'cause, I'm not the same person as my mother, or my sister.
