2. I understand the "outting" being annoying thing. Greg has finally figured out that he says more about our personal/private business to people than do I, AND that it annoys me. Now he mostly checks with me, or, will come to me afterward, sheepish, and tell me what he's recently revealed.

Between the spelling of blond, the existence of handcuffs in his life, and various other semi-canon bits, I'd say that it's actually just the most logical interpretation of the character as written.
