Thanks for all the fish.

Shhh, ita. Don't give away the whole slavery-ring plan. I've almost got Teppy in my clutches.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Argh.

Okay. I've run into one small problem being a spoiler companion.

I just wrote something inspired by some of the spoilers I've read. Now, normally, if I thought it was a majorly lame story, I wouldn't care. But the problem is, I like the thing.

I know that about half the writers I know are big old companions. I know that it can work its way in, even if you try to keep it out.

But I don't want to accidentally spoil someone.

This is not something covered in most FAQs, and the only place other than DoW I was thinking of sending it was Silverlake. But even there, I'm feeling uncomfortable about posting it.

The flipside. (And there's always a flipside)

I think that it's far enough from what canon will be that I'm uncertain about releasing it after all the information in it has been shown in the en-us marketplace.

Argh.

Advice?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I've met no Buffistas. Although I'm still trying to get down to meet Laura. It sounds like it should be easy but somehow it isn't.

It's a long state.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How far ahead are you spoiling, ple? Can you sit on it?

Thanks for all the fish.

Plei, I love you and your work, but would hate to be at all spoiled. Is it very far ahead? Because I'd love to read it, afterward, Jossed or not.

There should be an archive/mailing list for fics based on spoilers.

It's crossover. The BtVS stuff is nothing more than could be gathered by watching the promo this week, and the AtS stuff is a few layers deeper, because I'm far more spoiled for Angel and it was an Angel spoiler that inspired the thing.

The problem is that it's both spoilery and out of left field, so it has to stay shelved, but may not age well.

It was fairly safe to post it to LJ with massive warnings, and to DoW with the same.

Stupid freak-ass plot bunny.

Edit: I should add that DoW is spoiler-friendly, and how I became a relapsed Ho in the first place.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

What is DoW?

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

Quick! Someone help me think of a title for a paper that's about fanfiction-- I mean, cough, the unauthorized assertion of co-ownership over a text by its reader. Specifically, this chick's poem, and the poem I wrote that's (basically) fic for it.

Right now I've only got "[snappy title here]" at the top of every document....

Defenders of Wesley, my home away from home.
