Is there a link to the PolyRec site? Searching Yahoo brought up some strange polymer sites that I don't think are right.

And it's banned by my work system. Lovely.

Well that sucks. It's on Slashcity.net so that may be why.

Yeah, I imagine that was a big ol' red flag. Pout! Well, I can always read LoP again, I guess.

I need to read LoP again. I haven't read much HP fiction, but I know have a great fondness for Draco/Neville.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And it's banned by my work system. Lovely.

Whoo! We're obscene!

A selection of Draco recs pulled from PolyRecs:

The Eleventh Doorkeeper, by lady of shalott.

Nestra: An eerie, nebulous second-person story. Apparently Draco took a chance that he shouldn't have. (Note: There are prequels to this which I haven't read yet. There's a sequel which is excellent, but entirely too dark for my taste. I think the story stands alone just fine.)

A Scrap of Humanity, by yr awen.

Nestra: Several years after the war with Voldemort, Draco's called back to Hogwart's. Lovely Draco POV, lovely Snape moments.

Lyrical Summations, by L.C.

Nestra: Snape and Draco. "There's been no advantage-taking here, except perhaps that of the world over Draco, and there certainly doesn't seem to be a law against *that.*"

And Resonant's newest, which is Draco/Snape:

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I think "people are stupid" is a little... strong. I find myself wanting to pull in the discussion over in Literary on whether or not it's okay for white authors to write in a non-white voice, etc., though.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Then again, it wasn't a very strange-feeling position for me, because I'm very used to reading things and all of their references to other texts I don't know about, because I am, or at least was, what has been fondly called a pop culture nun.

But now you've been unnunned. (And it's the only Lizard defrocking I shall be assisting in for the foreseeable future, so I shall make the most of it.)

I'm writing Dracofic, but it's at 17,000 words and still not nearly finished. Sigh. Don't hold your breath.
