Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

The bathtub sequence got a little too creepy there at the end.

If I liked ghost porn, I'd read Laurel Hamilton.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yeah, even though I didn't realize the huge age gap with the actress while watching, that scene was a little too Flowers in the Lavatory for my blood.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I probably would have (although I'm within the range of the not-icky and the rest of you can back off), except that the business with Myrtle got wicked uncomfortable in its over-much-ness.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

PoA, GoF, SS, CoS for me.

Aimee is me, though SS/CoS are pretty close. Funny how even though I have strong opinions about the film adaptations, my preference order is exactly the same as for the books.

Now for the books, my list is completely different. GoF, PoA, CoS, SS.

I'm rereading (well relistening, I stuck in an Audiobook into my CD Player in the car when I couldn't find anything on the radio and started just listening to all the books over again on my commute) the books and find that some of the characters my imagination has stolen from the movies, but others are somewhat or completely different.

I will list them because I am tired of working on GUI problems.

Same - I imagine the character quite similar to the movie character.
Sort of - My imagination has been influenced, but still different.
Nope - My imagination character is not like the movie character.

Okay, that's imcomplete, but damn, there are a lot of characters and I do need to fix some GUI stuff.

What's this? A holiday photo that's relevant to the discussion? What could it be?
