What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, Finding Nemo took me completely by surprise. I had no interest in seeing it based on the trailers, but we went to a free screening, and I loved it.

I'm still uneasy about Cars, regardless.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Pixar trailers are always discouraging for some reason. I've never liked any of them.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm guessing it's because some trailer-making hacks at Disney create them, not Pixar people.

But didn't the first Cars trailer seem to have stuff that was made just for the trailer? Like the cars were talking about the movie? Because that suggests Pixar involvement.

I completely agree. But with Finding Nemo, even the premise sounded horrible...and yet.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Sean, re: your X3 whitefont, what about the trailer makes you think that they're not building up to Dark Phoenix? I admit I know very little about the comic, so I don't know how Dark Phoenix is supposed to look or act or what she does, but I definitely got the feeling from the trailer that there's something freaky and not-right about Jean. And I'll be irritated too if they don't go that route after all!

It's nothing about the trailer, Kate. It's an article about the movie in a recent EW. I don't know that they've killed the storyloine entirely, but they spell out in pretty clear terms that it's not at all the main plot.

Aw, crap, that is disappointing. Ah well. At least my expectations are appropriately lowered now.

Yeah, I'm still planning on seeing it, and I'm hoping I'll be pleasently surprised, but I've made sure to lower my expectations quite a bit.

Coding and Sleeping

Due to DVD release I finally got a chance to see Goblet of Fire. I have to put it as my least favorite of the HP series of movies. It seemed like it just jumped around from scene to scene. It was fun to see the tasks in movie form, but I'd still put it in last.
