Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

You don't need a backwards-talking midget to know which way the wind blows.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Indie 103.1 has sports? And weather??? I knew the Suicide Girls had their own show.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Not only does it have sports, but Crispin Glover filled in for Olyphant recently. It's a three-minute segment each day or something like that. Olyphant does a sports rundown, and then jokes around with the morning guy, usually. Olyphant = funny guy.

Ahh. In the mornings I listen to NPR. Maybe I should change that.

Since this is the movie thread I'm bringing us back on track by commenting on the bizarre fax I got from Paramount this morning. Apparently half the print of Transformers is going to arrive in a can with a combination lock. We won't be able to retrieve the combo for the lock until noon on July 2nd.

That's so you can't learn the sooper-seekrit spoiler: Optimus Prime is a chick!

Always Anti-fascist!

TO is as goofy as Bullock is serious. (Although he did pause about midway through some commentary once to "feel guilty" that people put on his commentary and didn't learn anything.)

These reviews are making me more and more happy about LFoDH.

Also, Olyphant is the sports guy on Indie 103.1

!!!!! This I did not know! Being a theater person, I don't do mornings all that often, but I'll have to try and listen for Olyphant's segment once in a while. I wonder if they have any of it posted at the web page.

I feel cheated that the Season 3 discs don't have any Olyphant/McShane commentary on them.

I just watched about two minutes of LFoDH (the projectionist is screening it as we speak) and it was High larious. Kevin Smith! Geektastickness! Boba Fett jokes!

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

That lock idea is pretty sneaky, Laga.

Did any of the reels come in under false names? I love when they do that.
