Always Anti-fascist!

Watch the Wire instead...then you'll want to call them punk-ass bitches instead.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think Nancy wins the makeover in this one, though. I'll give them that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I got it! No thanks to you people. I was thinking uncanny, or unheimlich.

Hey. New board.

Weltanshaaung is one of the words in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee!

I'm going to watch thing Nancy Drew trailer soon so I know what you guys are talking about. But I admit to having been a boy. Thus, I read more Hardy Boys than Nancy Drew. I did read one Nancy Drew / Hardy Boys Supermystery, which was enough to make me think that Nancy Drew is probably better, but didn't inspire me to actually read the novels. Maybe I should.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I am in denial about the Nancy Drew movie. I loved Nancy Drew beyond all that is reasonable, so I can't think about them messing her up.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Weltanshaaung is one of the words in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee!

Yeah, that's the only reason I know how to spell it. Or that it exists.

Invisible Green - May 02, 2007 3:11:32 pm PDT #8308 of 10001

Except that it's spelled "Weltanschauung."

[Edited for, hah!, spelling.]

Hey. New board.

Heh. The speller sort of screams it in the show. And there's a song halfway through it. The correct spelling is a bit hard to figure out.

ETA: Also, just noticed that Dana spelled it right. I'm the only poor speller of German words here.

And I just looked back and noticed this too. I can handle German words. But I never know how to spell (or pronounce) French words or phrases.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Could doppelganger be the German word that was originally being invoked?
