It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

Note to self: Ju-on not the ideal choice of movie to switch television to when trying to drift off to restful sleep.

I can't even.

Blade Runner is on Showcase Action. Of course I have it on dvd. Does that mean I'm able to stop watching it? Apparently not.

I saw Ночной Дозор (Night Watch) tonight. Very nice moodiness and mystery and Noir feel for the most part, though there were a few comedic transitional scenes with the lead's cohorts that had sufficiently different tone to throw me out of the movie momentarily. I definitely want to see the sequel when it comes out.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Where did you get it? I'm dying to see it.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

We are watching Pearl Harbor tonight. C has never seen it - actually has never seen any type of war movie.

Anyway, slash has corrupted my brain cause I see this whole slashy backstory between Rafe and Danny.

It started a run at my local art-house cinema this weekend. I think it's in what passes for wide release for a foreign film, so you might be able to catch it in the nearest large city.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh gawd that was an awful movie. One critic wrote that he tried to write down every cliched line in the movie, but he stopped when he realized he was writing every other line down....

I am basically ignoring it and playing on the puter. DH absolutely LOVES it. C seems to be getting into the romance of it and since she hasn't seen any war movies, the cliche's are new to her.

Somewhere out there is a movie clip of Affleck and Hartnett re-enacting the animal crackers scene from Armaggedon. I'm not sure if it's on the DVD extras or what, but I have seen screencaps.

But you can tell I'm a total geek, because the thing that disappointed me the most was that the scene of the battleship Arizona blowing up looked nothing like the actual event (which was captured on movie film and is pretty widely known).
