"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

But...Ian McShane is awesome.

The Deadwood watchers keep raving about him, but my most recent experience of the actor was Scoop and his performance in that did my opinion of him no favors.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

That's the dreaded Woody Allen effect. I don't know the source material y'all are talking about, but McShane is a force of nature under the right circumstances.

Did we know that Gregory Smith from Everwood has been cast in The Dark is Rising?

Maybe "Swergin!" is the role he was born to play or something.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Inevitably, my favorite Ellen Barkin performance is in Buckaroo Banzai.

Mmm. Yeah. Watched that every single day when I was out sick with chicken pox at 12. When I got better, I went and got her haircut.

Always Anti-fascist!

Ellen Barkin is a hottie. And I like how she...carries it, or something. Mostly, she doesn't have to be vampy or anything. She just knows she's hot, whatever else she does. I wish I could do that, but the thing is, I know I'm *smart*. Hot doesn't even make the list of things I think about me.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, based on information from Wikipedia it looks like they're using the names of the characters in The Dark is Rising.

Max is the second oldest Stanton child.
