It's not like she blew me off. She just left with another guy, that's all.

Prosthetics on Keith Richards? Talk about redundancy in abundancy.

I recently learned that there is a biopic of Beatrix Potter coming out soon. Starring Renee Zellweger.

There is not enough NOOOOOOOOO in the world.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

From what I've heard, Miss Potter is mostly just boring, not awful. (Since she had a pretty uneventful life, and no huge obstacles in the way of her writing career, making her an odd choice for a biopic.)

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Hey, who here has seen Nanny McPhee and can answer a question for me? My parents loaned me the DVD ("You'll love it!" says dad), and there's a tarantula on the cover. I have vague memories of watching the trailer and seeing a Spider As Plot Device. Could someone tell me how frequently the tarantula shows up?

Thank you from your resident arachnephobic goth!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Jilli, I've seen it, and I certainly can't remember it being a major plot point. You may want to wait for someone else to weigh in, though.

See, I like Beatrix Potter (or, well, her art; the woman herself seems to have been inoffensive enough too from what I know of her) but I loathe The Zellweger, as do all right-thinking people.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

In the next several days, we plan to see Curse of the Golden Flower and Inland Empire. Last movie we saw in the theater was Volver, which we both enthusiastically enjoyed.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

we plan to see Curse of the Golden Flower and Inland Empire

Exotic imagery overload!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

We just saw The Good Shepherd. It was interesting, in that it took various elements that would have been major plot points in other movies and turned them almost into background noise while bringing character and mood into the forefront.

In other news, in checking IMDB, I was surprised to find that the "damn he looks familiar" actor in there was the guy who played Aaron in Wonderfalls. Huh.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I loved The Zellweger in Cold Mountain and I thought she was perfectly cast in Chicago. Heck I even liked her in Nurse Betty too. I guess I just have no taste!
