I think I've made this comment online, but only when people from Eastern Carolina (e.g. the Scarlett O'Hara accent) are supposed to be from Mississippi or Alabama (e.g. the, uh, Sling Blade accent).

I've said that! Or, okay, probably not exactly that, because I don't know Alabama accents well enough to bitch. But coastal vs. mountain Carolinas? Or whatthehell is that Texas accent doing in Virginia? Sure.
