Hey, George Clooney and the Coen Brothers are making a movie about a spy!
Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Ooh, very cool.
Anyone else seen the BBC2 documentary about the Coen Brothers? I just d/led it but it's not new; filmed while they were making O Brother Where Art Thou. Fascinating insight into how they make movies and how they got started. Loved the brief interview with Jeff Bridges and how he talks about them saying they wrote the character of The Dude specifically with him in mind.

Heh, I remeber Clooney talking about how the Coen's approaced him for O BROTHER... and told him, essentially, "We've got a role that you're perfect for; you play the dumbest man that ever lived!"
I'm sorry I forget who asked if "based on a true story" makes Marie Antoinette have to hold up to to some sort of historical accuracy. Anyway... I give you this I am a link

Bwah!

That looks adorable. Penguins! Surfing! Yay!
I'm looking forward to Happy Feet. It's got dancing penguins, directed by the guy who came up with Babe as well as Mad Max, so how can it miss?

I love that two such diametrically opposed ideas came from the same person.
I love the teaser trailer of Happy Feet that just has the baby penguin tapping away. Very fun!
