#1 is the only one that's stumping me. I'd guess Re-Animator based on the revised clue, but that's not it?I'm going to be so angry at myself if it turns out to be House ...
I too LOVED clue #6.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

OK, revised some of the clues. Here's re-revised #1:
A doctor’s paranormal research in a New England mansion comes back to haunt him when his wife mysteriously disappears just before the tragic death of the sensitive young assistant who had been infatuated with him.
And, in the way of a hint, this movie was remade a few years ago, and the remake would not fit this description.
Ah! The Haunting .
Raq, is it House on Haunted Hill ?
OK, I posted the answers in my LJ. [link]

And tons of thanks to you guys for play-testing. We revised and adjusted quite a bit based on feedback.

Yes, I should have gotten #10.
Did you change #8 to make it harder? Because I only got it because of the tv reference, which is no longer there.
Also, #4 now reads like Freddy Krueger's own parents burned him. I haven't seen it, but based on the previous wording, I'm assuming they didn't.
Despite not having seen most of the films, that was fun Raq. Thanks.

Yes. People were saying it was a gimme, and that was too many easy ones. It's still pretty easy, but not a gimme. I hope.

Hmm. True, they didn't. So will revise.
The LACMA is showing "Porgy and Bess" on Saturday!!

Has anyone heard of or seen any proof of release of the movie version of Dogg's Hamlet, Cahoot's Macbeth? IMDB is very slow and lacking of information, as is Wikipedia, but WANT NOW.
juliana - I have proof as our adopted son did the screenplay and directed the film. Would you like me to find you a copy?
