Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I think my favorite was the clue for number 5, as it perfectly pinpoints the part of the plot that carries the main theme and message of the movie.
I don't even have to look because I know which one you're talking about, and that's my favorite too. Very clever, and pretty much requires actually having seen the movie rather than just knowing the basic premise. (So it's sort of a cheat since it's not so much a "synopsis" of the movie itself, technically.)
When I was watching the movie for the first time a while ago, I thought, "If that happens, this movie will be so awesome." And I was so surprised and impressed it actually happened.
And megan, I guessed your whitefonted one was number 9.
And megan, I guessed your whitefonted one was number 9.
Upon re-reading, I realized that too. Also, that I've seen 6 and 11.
Oooh! Those were two I didn't know, or was at best very tentative about.
I just made a guess at 11, and I have no clue what 6 is. I'll probably be kicking myself when I find/figure it out.
11 is The Others. Great movie.
That was my guess, P-C.
See, I felt stupid about 6, because I think it is actually very obvious, given the subject matter. But maybe I'm just wrong like a wrong thing.
Not easy. Answered 13/20 without wild guesses anyway.
I commented as well, but: I think that was a good mix of easy and tough. #6 is my favorite clue. And I'm completely stumped by #17, which is irritating me.
