Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Wesley Snipes alone made that movie for me.

I recently saw "Priscilla" again. I prefer it to "To Wong Foo...", I like that Priscilla is grittier, I guess is the best way to put it, and that the charactors aren't all portrayed as overly-"good". I think it's more realistic in terms of what could happen to a trio of drag queens in the middle of Australia or the US. It's been a while since I've seen "To Wong Foo..."

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Too Wong Foo makes me insanely happy when I imagine Wesley Snipes taking himself too seriously and grumping around the set of Blade Trinity and then someone from the crew or cast projecting it against a blank wall.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark. [link] Huh.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Considering the number of regressions he's had, is playing the role of an alcoholic really a good idea for him?

At least he'll have plenty of experience to draw upon. He's not Method, is he?
