You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

tonight and tomorrow they will be showing Ace in the Hole,

Jan Sterling has some of the greatest noir tough-chick lines ever in this movie.

Reporter: "Hey lady, you wanna pray for the kid trapped in the well?"
Jan: "I don't kneel. It wrinkles my nylons."

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Last night, I watched Jarmusch's Mystery Train for the first time since Joe Strummer died. I've seen it several times, and each time it's as funny and wonderful as I thought it was the first time, but this time it was a little bittersweet and sad as well.

Also, I came into it (it was on cable) most of the way through Far From Yokohama, which is my favorite piece in the movie, but the other two sections are still wonderful.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Has it been mentioned that Del Toro and Pearlman are back for Hellboy 2, yet?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ever fired your gun in the air and yelled, 'Aaaaaaah?'

That's great. I enjoyed the first one.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I'm just going to throw this out here for Deadwood fans: Steve the Drunk is played by the same actor who played Xander's father.

No way. I can totally see it, now that you've mentioned it, but I would have never made that connection.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

That reminds me of my recent realizations that both Willy the Snitch and Whistler were on Homicide

"I know him. Who is that? Lemme go IMDB."
