A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

"Did you hear? The dragons look like us now."
AND THEY HAVE A PLAN.
So I'm surprisingly excited about taking the girlfriend to see X3 tomorrow, even though I'm still concerned it's going to suck.
I'm hoping we get a poster shot of Cyclops, Jean, Beast and Angel at some point as a little fannish nod at some point during the film since it's the first movie they're all in.
I'm doing the same, Kalshane. Well, okay, not with a girlfriend. But going with trepidation tomorrow.
I was going to try and talk SA into going tomorrow night or Saturday matinee.
I'm going to a matinee tomorrow. Took the day off of work to have a 4-day weekend and then realized "Hey, X3 comes out that day." So tomorrow is X3 followed by buying stuff for my LARP. I get to teach the girlfriend how to make padded swords which is one of those "My God, we're both giant dorks" moments.
Peter David (writer of comics and whatnot) got to see an advanced screening and enjoyed it. [link] (His review is spoiler-free for all but the most pure, I can't vouch for the reader comments after, though, as I intentionally didn't read them just in case.) He also advises waiting until after the end credits.
Thanks for the Peter David review, Kalshane! It sounds like it's at least a fun movie. I'm excited now.
You're welcome. It certainly allays my worries somewhat.
