Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

move out and draw fire

I used to be a test audience member in college. They don't pay you, and they certainly should - or at least provide coupons for talk therapy sessions - after having you sit through some of the crap.

Of course, it became something of a joke that I never drew a good movie. About one of the movies I saw was ever widely released.

Art Crawl!!!

Al Pacino has joined the cast of Ocean's 13.

I'm trying to decide whether this is a good thing. Mostly, I think it is.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Al Pacino has joined the cast of Ocean's 13.

The plot of the movie is that they have to steal $20 million dollars worth of ham from an ultra-secure smokehouse.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I don't think Al Pacino's worth $20 million.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

The plot of the movie is that they have to steal $20 million dollars worth of ham from an ultra-secure smokehouse.

Or possibly $20 million dollars worth of edible scenery from an ultra-secure scene shop.

Always Anti-fascist!

Back in the day? Sure. As the shadow of his persona that he now is, even a worshipful fangirl like me would have to consider before whipping out her checkbook.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Aw, I like Shouty!Pacino. I want to see him shout at George Clooney, and then George Clooney can raise his eyebrows at him.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Can either Dawn or a stompy whitefont that Gilmore Girls info? Last night's episode is sitting on a tape in my VCR at the moment...

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I like Shouty!Pacino

I only like him when he is shouting "Attica!" When he's not in on the joke, he's a lot less funny.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Done, Dana. Totally missed that.
