Heh, no, I save my masochism for other things. It's just that I go weeks before guilt finally forces me to watch the stuff I rent. Meanwhile, I own quite a few DVDs that I haven't watched. So the whole thing is a waste of money right now. I figure if I'll get through the backlog of things I own, then when I really want to watch other things, I can reopen the account. And in the meantime I'll have saved a few dollars, which wouldn't be terrible.

For me, Netflix is validation for my habit of not being in the mood to watch a particular movie for the entire four or five days that I'd normally have it rented from a video store. I'm saving money in late fees every month! (Giving the finger to Blockbuster also factors in to my enthusiasm for the service...)
