Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Dear Professor Know-it-All: Thank-you for your concern. I have been keeping my doctors -- you know, the licensed professionals handling my health care -- up to date with regard to my classes and discussing all possibilities with them with regard to my care and my workload. We had determined that it was not necessary at this time for me to quit everything, but I will inform them of this new developement, i.e., that you're being an asshole. Rot in Hell, (signed) vw"

Mostly lurking...

So, I'm not totally overreacting?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

It does suck that he backed off from letting you take the makeup exam and making this decision on your own... he might be trying to be helpful... in his way... But certainly, you didn't need to hear that from him TODAY OF ALL DAYS. At the end of such a craptastic week.

I'm sorry.

I know that it's a radical view, but I do think the decision about what you can/can't do is yours to make (with the help of the doctors), and that taking back his offer to reschedule was a totally shitty thing to do.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

wtf, vw?

No, totally not overreacting. Prof gets to decide whether he wants to let you retake the exam, but not whether you're healthy enough to do the course.

Yes, I agree that it is a shitty thing to do. However, I think the professor may feel he is coming from a valid POV. Whether he is or not? knowing vw, I don't think so.

He may; he may even be saying something perfectly decent (e.g., "I'm sorry to hear that you're sick, and concerned about how you'll be able to handle it.") in a completely foot in mouth way.

Takebacks when he'd already allowed a makeup, otoh, is pure shitty whatever the motivation.

Yes, absolutely.

Yup. If you decide that you want to keep this class, you should probably go over his head with regard to this exam.
