during the mass Golden Gate Bridge Birthday party with a million people attending, I saw with my own eyes a guy in a red sweatshirt riding his bike up the hill as his big fluffy black cat clung to his back, looking nervously over its shoulder.
Hey, I was at that! I don't remember seeing that guy, though. I think that would have stuck in my head.
I did sell a canoe to a guy who needed one that had room for him, his kid, his dog,
and his cat
because he didn't go anywhere without all of them. My brain balks at trying to imagine a cat in a canoe.
Feel better, vw. Not meant to be a command, just a hope. I don't want any more trips to the ER for anyone, dammit. sj's good news one had better be the last.
Yay for Sail's snow dat! A guy on the ferry this morning said there was a chance of snow for us this Saturday. I choose to believe him. I'm also glad to hear that Tim's brother's passing was peaceful and surrounded by family.
Cash's O&O are far too adorable for me to believe such slander.
Whoa, dizzy spell.
Oh, Cindy, I'm so sorry. I am hoping for the best for her.

The Magic Eraser is, indeed, awesome.

I sense a Scrubbing Bubbles vs. Mr Clean Magic Eraser match.
Magic Eraser rulez!!!1!!
The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is almighty. I put it right up there in my pantheon of great inventions alongside pay-at-the-pump gas pumps, coffeemakers with timers, and air conditioning.
Agreed.
Though I'd add the Swiffer Wet-Jet to that list.
Especially now that Paul's hacked ours so that I can refill it with Murphy's Oil Soap instead.

Nooooooo! They obviously are the cleaning OTP, not enemies.

I missed the original posting about this. But it brought back fun memories. I worked a booth making and selling cotton candy during the b-day party. I didn't walk the bridge, but had prime viewing of those who did. I was not surprised to find out that the weight of all those folks bowed the bridge.
Ahhh, good times. And that was one DAMN FINE fireworks show.
Home from the doctor's office. They were throwing around the word "hospitalization" a lot. I talked them out of it, because my stats were actually pretty good. So, we're increasing the bitch-from-hell medicine (steroids) and watching it a little longer.

I was there two! I was so tired from my new summer job that I didn't want to go, but my dad dragged me and a friend from our beds and across the Bay on the ferry. The lines were so huge that we gave up on the bus, but then one picked us up as we were walking. I don't think we actually made it onto the bridge, but we were on the onramp when they started shoving people back. It was the one and only time I was actually nervous about being squished to death. Ahh. Good times.
All this hospitalization talk is no good. No good at all.
Also, thanks so much for the priority mail vw. Mail to Ak is such a, well, bitch. I'd be happy to mail a check if you let me know the difference between slow boat and priority.
vw, take care of yourself. I'm glad that when you write about what's happening, you do so in the plural -- "we're increasing/watching." I know then that at least one person on that particular team is to be trusted.
sj, glad to hear the fever has been conquered! Good news.
Also good news to hear that you don't need hospitalization, vw. Still, not being able to breathe properly sucks. I hope the increased steroids do the trick.
Cindy, I hope your friend's kidlet gets treated successfully. They've made such progress in treating childhood leukemia, it's much more likely to be cured today than ever before.
IOmeN, I actually took a nap this afternoon. Wow, did it feel good; I really needed it. I had about 4 nights of no sleep to catch up on. Fortunately, that should be fixed now. My doctor accidentally renewed my AD prescription for half the dose I'd been taking and until we got that straightened out, I found that the half dose doesn't help me sleep through the night. Ugh. I'm back on the original dose, but until I get un-sleep-deprived, me and the bed? Best friends, forevah!
