It will get easier. Olivia will start sleeping for longer clips. Owen will stop being convinced he's missing out on something, if he lets himself sleep, and after a while, he might even forsake cannibalism.

Cash, that's a great picture. Olivia sure is pretty! Owen's such a cutie too. Wanna trade? I'll send ya the 14 year old! Really you won't even notice that she's there. She'll just hibernate in her room with the iPod on. Of course, she doesn't "do" chores so she is a bit of a drain on productivity but she's quiet! And she doesn't eat very much so she's pretty cheap too (the downside is she's sorta moody, like a lot moody).

Yeah there is a payoff after a while. After the first couple of years, you get to go back to sleeping for 8 or 9 hours at a stretch. Sadly, I think that only lasts until they start driving and dating and then? Sleepless nights all over again.
