Darned nebulizers. Chris was just on albuteral and pulmicort for a week. The first couple of days, he was shaky, jumpy, and I could feel his little heart raching.

What drugs are you breathing, vw?

I'm breathing DuoNeb, which is Combivent, I think. It's a mixture of albuterol and Ipratropium. It seems to be working better than the albuterol alone.

How is Chris doing?

He's doing much better thanks, but he's thin. He had a bad stomach virus at Christmas, a mild stomach virus two weeks ago, and three days after that let up, he got the upper respiratory virus. His poor little immune system needs a break.

I was hoping the pulmicort (which is a steroid) would help his appetite, but it didn't. As of Monday, he still wasn't eating cookies (!!!) when I'd give the kids snack or dessert. It does seem to be coming back slowly, now though.

He's pale too, even for him. He's been back at school since Tuesday, though. I was grateful for the snow storm, because I got to keep him home an extra day, before sending him back to the germ incubation factory. Feb. vacation is next week. I've pretty much told the kids they're not having any playdates 'til after that. I don't usually bother trying to avoid germs. With three kids, someone's bound to pick up something, somewhere, but we really need a break.

Up to four. Today I was supposed to go back to as needed, but it looks like the "as needed" will probably be four times. It's such fun!

Oh, har. Relatives can suck. Really, at that point your sister really needs to embrace the stereotype, smoking at all times, putting cigarettes out on the soles of her shoes, showing up for family breaskfasts with a six pack, and possibly consider getting a mullet. These are the same kind of idiot 'Look At How Much Money I Have' people who come to a Carol Concert at their kids school and bring their Saiamese Cat with them, because said cat is an expensive show-off thing to own.

Ya know, having a cat whose heritage is part Siamese, I do wonder if it might sometimes be a case of "can't bloody pry the cat off my arm to leave". Which is to say, I have no idea why anyone else would haul their cats around to school concerts, but if I did, it would be simply because Harvey had decided he was not done being held when I went out the door. Although the truth is, Harvey is much clingier to Daniel than he is to me, so it would be really eccentric among other adjectives to boot.

I was concerned that Brendon might have consumed some of the little dose bottles of Albutrin and called a doc friend. He asked about his behavior and I said he was sleeping. He laughed and told me there is no way he'd be sleeping more likely he'd be bouncing off the walls.
