Angel: Just admit it: you think you're gonna ride in, save the day, and sweep Buffy off her--Spike: Like you're not thinking the same thing. Angel: I'm already seeing somebody. Spike: What, dog girl?

'The Girl in Question'

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Shit's all sorts of different now.

OMG! I totally forgot to tell you guys what happened at my great-grandmother's funeral luncheon! (I think) Nora, I can't WAIT for you to go off on this.

My Eldest Uncle, said, to my sister, in front of about 15 relatives, and I quote -

"Yeah, she smokes. And she wonders why she doesn't have a job OR a man!"

awaits indignation

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I think they're just all stunned.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Very addled uncle, Aimée.

If smoking stopped work or a love life, there would be a massive increase in unsexed, jobless people around the country.

ION, We have a winter storm developing here through tomorrow night.

One I might have to drive through to my first day of work tomorrow.

I might have to build a survival kit. Haven't needed one this winter, as we had no need to go out of town on bad winter days.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Okay, I realize the mundanity of this and that I'm making something of a bigger deal than it really is. But would it have killed her to at least acknowledge that that bothered me? Instead of throwing thinly veiled blame at me again? jesus. I might just become a hermit. Honestly.
@@ That hermit thing is exceptionally attractive sometimes.
"Yeah, she smokes. And she wonders why she doesn't have a job OR a man!"
Well obviously. Everyone knows it.

t rereads

Though the hermit-y thing probably explains why I have neither job nor man.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Urg. Been doing pretty well with the diet the last few days, but my minion suggested beers after work today and...yeah.

But he had a point - we've made it halfway through our boss being gone! Said boss being the first line of defense against the seriously psycho dynamics of this company - I've bitched a little on lj, but left out a shitload, really. So, yay us.

Also, kind of drunk now. Think I'll go grab another beer.
