It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Compassionately intolerant

Go Beej! That sounds lovely.

Thanks David. It really was. There was much tentative...um, this is too good too soon to not be scary...followed by a lot of what the hell, we're goin' for it! And how about that future, eh?

So yeah. Quite lovely.

Always Anti-fascist!

Unless you count the House orgasm conversation, no. But Bio never affected me like that in school.(If it had, I'd have been alone a lot less. Or a lot more. But you'd be talking to a scientist now.) Maybe my brother is right about the loser curse.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Not as such. But....still good.

Well done!

I think that "Well done!" should be more properly directed at the boy....

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Fay sighting - sounds like an awesome way to spend time.

t saddens me that my original post may have caused readers to think I have a bad attitude about this. The truth is that I have been a big supporter of the idea of increasing staff proficiency with signing so we could understand this lady better. The problem is how it has been put into practice.

really, I thought you sounded fustrated at the how things were happening. It wasn't a well though out plan. It looked like a lot of work with the possiblility of it not meeting the goal of better client communication.

Beth, is DH still here or getting back soon?

Roadboy is not in NY. he is in Reno. Today he could a) continue working in Reno b) come home c) end up going to Milwalke( due to a sick coworker who has a sinus infection and Should not go on a plane) and not coming home for the weekend.

C would be the bad one. B sounds good, but it means extra work another time, so not good.

DH has not yet laughed in the faces of project managers. not quite. A PM said they needed one of Matt's crew for up to 4 weeks somewhere in the next 8 weeks. DH should have laughed. His entire crew is booked solid for the next 8 weeks

Did I just write that my brother was right? I need to stay out of the migraine medicine! Forget I said that.

Ick ick ick. My Dad is still in the hospital (all tests have shown NOTHING amiss with his GI tract; very frustrating), and he called me just now to tell me that the tests turned up nothing. In the course of the conversation, he used the words "groin" and "testicles," which are just words that I never ever EVER need to hear from my male parent.

I have to go erase my brain right now.

Or there is always choice D...

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Teppy, hope they really figure out what is wrong, and that the fix for it is relatively quick and painless.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Woo-hoo on good V-Days! I had a decently fun one, complete with kissing AND drama (not caused by either myself or kissing!boy) and karaoke.

24- 48 hours notice?

checks BART schedule

Tep, I'm sorry that your dad still doesn't have a diagnosis, and that the non-diagnosis involves Those Words.

Librarian Warlord

juliana, I'm glad to hear you had a decent one and didn't have to kick any puppies. But I do imagine that you have to beat the boys off with a stick looking like you do, beautiful.

Teppy, how frustrating that the doctors haven't found anything. Your father is very lucky to have you near to talk to/listen to those over-educated white coats.

I worked on V-day, and the most exciting thing was an alarm going off in the Rare Book Room because the humidity got too high. (The alarm calls the police, so they showed up thinking the place was flooding.)
